Abstract

This article describes the project developed to classify a voice database for forensic identification. It exposes how the linguistic information can be used in a database to reduce the number of false positives and false negatives when an automatized forensic voi- ce comparison is carried out. In particular, the phone- tic phenomena that have been proposed for classifying a voice database in this level of language are repor- ted. From this information it describes how to build a database model and the type of search to be achieved.

The proposal to create linguistic descriptors to classify a voice database is intended as a methodology to assist in the administration of justice in Mexico and other Spanish-speaking countries.
